"Argumetns for why Cather in the Rye shouldn't be tought in schools"

Holden is the complete opposite of what a role model should be:

  • He uses bad language.
  • He smokes.
  • He drinks alcoholic beverages.
  • Doesn't care about school.
  • Flirts with his friends' mothers.
  • He is irresponsible.
  • He's very agressive.

The book encourages topics such as:

  • Pre- marital sex
  • Under age drinking
  • Smoking
  • Drugs
  • Irresponsibility
  • Teenage rebelion.
  • Profanity (words expressions, gestures, social behaviora that are interpreted as insulting, rude, vulgar, etc.)
